Tom And Virginia Boles

Boles' mother, Leona, grew up in this one-room home in Santa Fe Springs. The red barn in the background was one of the only wineries in the area. In fact, this is one of the original homes in Santa Fe Springs. Virginia's mother was born in Whittier, as was Virginia, 88. Both Tom and Virginia were recently awarded the 2013 Myron Claxton Distinguished YMCA Service Award for their many years of contributions to the 'Y.' 

In his extensive business travels, the Rev. Tom Boles spent much time in Indonesia. Here is a statuette of the famed icon Buddha. 

Tom Boles graduates with his master's degree in theology from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena in the autumn years of a prolific life. 

A young, red-headed Tom Boles, now one of the most revered reverends in the Whittier area, got his start on the stage tap-dancing at age 5 in Columbus, Ohio. He used to dance for pennies, which he had to collect at the end of each performance. 

Virginia Boles and her husband, Tom, have a room in their La Habra home that features some 1,000 vintage dolls and teddy bears. Here is a classic version of an antique doll tea party.
